Why, well because vacation starts as soon as I leave work. I'm not gonna be here next week- not even going to be in Utah. It's time for the annual Sister's Campout in Oregon again and this year I have the time off saved and enough money to make the trip. Last year I missed for the previously mentioned reasons but this year fuel prices are down- $3.29 right now in town and I'll be hauling the BSU and the tent trailer to the Oregon coast for several days of relaxing, fishing, beer drinking and pork product consumption with her family.
I've purchased a book to read- More Guns, Less Crime: Understanding Crime and Gun Control Laws by John Lott. It arrived yesterday and flipping through it, it's clear that this isn't a typical summer read, in fact it's much more like a college level text. This book is full of charts and graphs and footnotes. Never mind, because I'm going to read it.
My feet are both just about 100% healed. The left one responded well to the cast and the ligaments healed with no problem. The broken bone in the right foot is pretty good, only hurting after a day's work and some laps around Wal-Mart for grocery shopping. I bought some new boots to wear every day, they are pretty stiff and seem to be helping.
I'm still waiting for the Muse to appear and help me get this blog back on track. There's a number of subjects that I should be writing about- politics & firearm restrictions that politicians dream up but so far, I'm mostly reading when I sit down in the evenings.
Maybe there will be Wi-Fi in the campground this year...
